Rob Curtis

General Manager Ripper Aviation Academy

Rob brings a wealth of experience to Ripper Corp, drawn from tenures within both Defence and the private sector. This diverse career path has seen him develop a broad range of skillsets relating to business, training, and project management that are well aligned to the aviation and maritime industries.

Rob enjoyed a 12 ½-year career in the Royal Australian Navy, where he performed both operational and training roles as a Maritime Warfare Officer, sub-specialising in Mine Warfare and Clearance Diving. In the private sector, Rob has worked within the electricity supply industry, registered training organisations, and commercial diving. In 2017, Rob established the Ripper Aviation Academy which has delivered an impressive range of RPAS training programs to emergency services, businesses, and the general public. A highlight for Rob has been the Academy’s work in providing RPAS training to personnel involved in beach safety and shark mitigation strategies.

Rob has a passion for aviation, maritime operations, and training. He is excited by the prospect of exploring the alignment and opportunities associated with each of these fields, in his role as General Manager of The Ripper Aviation Academy.
